£43 million in government support for Darlington’s new Burtree Garden Village

At designe Ltd we are proud to be supporting Darlington Borough Council and partners by developing the Design Code and SPD for Burtree Garden Village.

Homes England will invest £43 million in Burtree Garden Village which is set to create a new sustainable community of 2000 homes and state-of-the-art facilities that will help more people into homeownership, while also providing affordable homes and accommodation for older people.

The funding, announced today, builds on £446,000 they have already received through the Government’s Garden Communities programme, which helps councils progress long-term housing projects. This funding will support green infrastructure and travel links for a new sustainable community.
